Product Description

The Xiros Mikro comes standard with a interchangeable 5 heated aluminium Shelf Stack. This 5 shelf setup is easily changed in to a 3, 7 or 9 shelf freeze dryer, it’s plug and play. The heat matts are mounted without any adhesive, this assures you there is no odour that could contaminate your products inside.

Any of these interchangeable shelf stacks provides you with a high-capacity and space-saving solution for your freeze drying needs. These stacks are easily interchangeable with one plug outlet at the back of the tray assembly. See our YouTube video how easy it is to change it.

All Shelf Stacks have fixed shelves that are individually heated. Per shelfs you’ve got 450 x 200 mm of shelf space to fit various tray sizes. The hole shelf stack is made of aluminium, which make it an light weight, durable and maintenance friendly solution.

 

Shelves configuration for the Xiros Mikro

Every Xiros Mikro freeze dryer is standard fitted with with a lightweight and durable aluminium 5 shelf setup and is included with 5 stainless steel trays.

The inter shelf distance allows for optimal air circulation during your freeze drying process in your Xiros Mikro.

All of the stainless steel tray that fit the shelf stack have a inner sizes of 185 mm x 435 mm and come in various high.

The different heights starting at 12 mm for the 9 shelf then go to 15 mm that fits the 7 shelf and up to the 20 mm height to be used in the 3 and 5 shelf stack sets.

We recommend to order additional trays so you are able to prepare or pre freeze your product in the trays while the machine is running a cycle. Trays come in various heights we can offer you 12, 15 or 20 mm high trays, they all have the same inner width and depth of 185 mm x 435 mm.

 

Shelf Stack options 9, 7, 5 and 3 shelves, and their dimensions:

9 Shelve the inter shelf distance is 19 mm per shelf, this fits the 12 mm high trays (the 9 shelves come to a total tray surface area of 7,245 cm² = 0,725 m²)

7 Shelves the inter shelf distance is 28 mm per shelf, this fits the 15 mm high trays (the 7 shelves come to a total tray surface area of 5,635 cm² = 0,5635 m²)

5 Shelves the inter shelf distance is 40 mm per shelf, this fits the 20 mm high trays (the 5 shelves come to a total tray surface area of 4,025 cm² = 0,025 m²)

3 Shelves the inter shelf distance is 68 mm per shelf, this fits the 20 mm high trays (the 3 shelves come to a total tray surface area of 2,425 cm² = 0,2425 m²)

All the trays have the same inner width and depth of 185 mm x 435 mm

 

All variations of the shelf stack are available as extra option to the Xiros Mikro small Freeze dryer.

All stainless steel trays are also available as an addition to the tray stack.

They come in packs for every shelf stack a slightly different height. The 9 trays are 12 mm and come with 9 trays per pack, the 7 trays pack comes with 7 trays of 15 mm and the highest trays are 20 mm and come in a pack of 5 trays.

Its ideal to get some extra trays so you can pre-freeze your next batch, this will shorten the total freeze dry process significantly. This ensures the continuity of your freeze drying process as well.
